Stock counts

Erplain allows you to create stock counts.
This means users can manually count their stock and make the necessary adjustments in Erplain at the same time.

This can be done for each of your stock locations, with the option to specify a more precise area in order to carry out a stock count for a specific zone.

There are several ways to perform a stock count in Erplain:

  1. Manually update the quantities

  2. Use a barcode scanner to automatically add products to the stock count

  3. Use a mobile phone to scan barcodes with the camera

  4. Export and import the file, for those who prefer to work offline or in a storage location without internet access

⚠️ WARNING: When creating a new stock count, the “new on-hand” column for products starts at 0. Don’t forget to enter the actual stock quantities of your products before validating the stock count to avoid accidentally resetting your inventory to zero.

All changes are automatically saved to prevent any data loss. Once the new quantities are entered, the difference between the new and previous stock levels is also displayed. When the stock count document is created, it logs each necessary adjustment. Only a final confirmation is needed to complete the stock count and apply the changes.

If any stock operations take place between the creation of the stock count and its confirmation, they will not affect the adjustments. This is because Erplain bases the adjustments on the difference between the quantities counted during the stock count and the stock levels at the time the document was created.

The adjustments are also recorded in your inventory logs.
