Creating packs for your units of measurement
The use of packs allows you to establish different quantities of the product to different packs. This can be used as a conversion rate between different units of measurement.
If ever the same product needs to be marketed to a different unit of measurement, simply change the unit of measurement in the name of the pack and the quantity used. No need to create another version of this product in erplain.
Additionally, packs can be used when selling products in different packaging sizes or forms.
Here are two examples:
1/ Create a product which quantities are expressed in inches (ELECTRICAL CABLE - PER INCH).
Using packs, the product can also be sold by the yard or mile. We can now create the following packs:
2/ Create a product which quantities are expressed in ounces (COFFEE - PER OUNCE).
