Shipping from multiple locations

Products ordered by your customers are not always stored in the same location. Luckily, erplain allows you to ship goods from multiple locations.

To do so, create multiple shipping orders from the same sales order. For each shipping order, select the location corresponding to the departure location of your shipment.

For more help, please follow the three steps below:

Step 1: Creating a sales order

From the sales order menu, create a new sales order containing all ordered products (regardless of the location). The location selected in the sales order will only be used to reserve the ordered quantities. For more information, please check the article Sales Orders.

Step 2: Creating a shipping order

From the sales order, create a shipping order and select the location of your first shipment. It can be different from the location selected in the sales order (or similar).

Note: The creation of the shipping order will update your on-hand stock level in the chosen location. For more information, please check this article.

In the shipping order, add the quantities shipped from the first location (E.g Main location). You can possibly update quantities or remove products from the shipping order by unchecking them.

The unshipped quantities or products will remain available for your future shipments.

Step 3: Creating a new shipping order

Repeat step 2 and select another location. Repeat this step as many times as needed until all your products are shipped.
